The Catholic Chaplain to the University, Father Michael McKenna, has been named Bishop of Bathurst.

The ordination and installation in Bathurst will take place at St Stanislaus College at 11am on Friday 26th June.  If you would like to attend, please contact the Chaplaincy secretary for more information.

Father Michael's appointment as Chaplain concluded with the Annual Mass for University Students to be celebrated in All Saints Church, Fitzroy, at 6.30 pm on Friday 1st May.

If I have done some good here, I am confident that it will last.  If I leave with things unfinished, I am confident that, if God wills, others will finish them.

My feelings – and I imagine yours – are mixed as I contemplate this change.  But God never lets us down and those who look for him in whatever comes are never disappointed.
